Terence Robinson focuses his practice on corporate formation and governance, estate planning and probate, eviction and foreclosure, litigation, personal injury, and real estate. Having served as a federal law clerk and practiced for 10+ years at one of the 100 largest firms in the United States, Mr. Robinson provides sophisticated and effective legal solutions to his clients.
Mr. Robinson has represented businesses in state and federal courts throughout New York and has also litigated cases in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Vermont, Illinois, and Massachusetts. He has successfully litigated a wide range of contract disputes, including agreements for the lease of real property, sale of assets, performance of professional services, development and license of products, construction of buildings or assets, and conveyance of property and machinery. In addition, he represents banks, public utilities, railroad companies, and private landowners in a variety of property disputes, including fraudulent conveyance and foreclosure actions, easement enforcement, title claims, and lease disputes.
Mr. Robinson’s estate planning practice focuses on creating bespoke estate plans aimed at protecting assets and smoothly transferring wealth from one generation to the next. He regularly represents executors and administrators in Surrogate’s Court proceedings throughout the State of New York. He also represents individuals and lenders in a wide array of real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and easement grants. Startups and growing businesses turn to Robinson Legal PLLC for a variety of services, including corporate formation and governance.
Having served for more than a decade as a member of the Town of Canandaigua Zoning Board of Appeals, Mr. Robinson has unique knowledge of the Canandaigua Lake Uniform Docking and Mooring Law and is intimately familiar with zoning and planning issues and regularly represents clients seeking zoning variances and planning approvals, and in subsequent Article 78 proceedings. He is consistently sought by municipalities seeking representation on land use issues and Article 78 proceedings.
Every year since 2013, Mr. Robinson has been recognized as an “Upstate Super Lawyer” for Business Litigation by Super Lawyers Magazine. Terence has also been recognized as a “Fellow” by Litigation Counsel of America, membership in which is limited to 3,500 lawyers nationwide, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.
